πŸͺ¨ “The Stone and the Eyes That Saw It” "You Are Priceless — In the Right Hands" #malakiyatv

A Story of Self-Worth and the Power of Perspective

Once, in a quiet village nestled among hills, lived a young man burdened with self-doubt. He had dreams of doing something great, of becoming someone the world would remember. But no matter how hard he tried, life kept knocking him down. Rejections, failures, and the harsh words of others had dimmed his spirit.

One day, consumed by frustration, he went to his teacher — a wise old man known in the village for his calm presence.

“Master,” the young man said, “I’ve tried so many times, and failed every time. Maybe I’m just not meant to succeed. Maybe I’m worth nothing.”

The master smiled gently and said, “Come with me.”

He led the young man behind his small hut, where there lay a large, rough stone.

“What do you see here?” the master asked.

“It’s just an ordinary rock,” the boy replied. “It has no value.”

The master nodded and said, “Take this stone to the village market. Do not sell it — just show it to people and if anyone asks, say you’ll sell it for 10 rupees. Then come back and tell me what happens.”

The boy did as instructed. He walked through the market holding the stone. Most people ignored him. Some laughed. A few asked, “Why are you selling a useless rock?” No one was interested in buying.

He returned and told the master what had happened.

“Now,” the master said, “take the same stone to the sculptor’s workshop at the edge of the village.”

The boy hesitated, but obeyed. When he reached the sculptor, the artist looked at the stone carefully and said, “This is a good quality stone. I can carve a beautiful idol out of this. I’ll give you 500 rupees for it.”

Stunned, the boy ran back to his teacher and told him what had happened.

The master looked into his eyes and said:

“Remember this always, my child — your value doesn’t decrease just because others fail to see it. Not everyone can recognize your potential. Some may laugh, some may ignore you, but that doesn’t make you any less worthy.

What matters is where you place yourself, and in front of whom.
You are not a useless stone. You are a masterpiece waiting to be discovered — by yourself first.”

πŸ’‘ Moral of the Story:

Your worth is not defined by the opinions of others, but by your own belief and by those who can truly see your potential. Keep going. Don’t change the stone you are — change where you’re standing.
