The skies of Saurashtra have been clouded by calamity for a long time and while it is raining, the saffron mango crops are being damaged all over along with the agricultural crops. Due to this, the mango crop has suffered huge damage.
Due to the heavy rain last night, 10 to 15 boxes of mangoes in the marketing yard of Junagadh were damaged early in the morning, causing loss of lakhs of rupees to the tenants and farmers. Also, Ravana and Chiku crops were damaged in Vanthali Panthak. Due to frequent unseasonal rains, the farmers have been disturbed and the government has been demanding that the aid be disbursed through on-the-spot survey and not just on paper.
